Local Resources and Partnerships
The Nonprofit Finance Fund
Working together with the directors of these programs and in conjunction with other PCMI partners, an organization can chart a course for addressing a variety of needs that might include planning, facilities and building needs, financial systems, staff development, budgeting, new business plans, technology, development, effective governance and strengthened decision-making throughout the organization.
Groups that have not participated in the PCLP review have an opportunity to work with PCMI through the organizational assessment program. A separate assessment program, the Nonprofit Business Analysis, is available through NFF. Please refer to information in the Assessment Program section of the guidelines to determine which assessment program may be most appropriate at this time for your organization. Contact either PCMI or NFF for additional information.
Technology Connectors™ program of the Arts & Business Council
Since its inception, PCMI has partnered with The Technology Connectors, a program of the Arts & Business Council of Greater Philadelphia to provide a wide range of services to assist arts and culture organizations in strengthening their capacity by addressing critical technology needs:
- Technology/Software Skills - Low-cost, professional training is provided to staff members to help them develop the skills required for both functional and specialty software, from basic office applications to graphics and web design software. These skills help build individual and organizational efficiencies through improvements in internal systems and external communications. Training is offered for individuals or groups of staff in professional training centers or brought to an organization through a mobile computing lab.
- Technology Project Support - Technology professionals provide pro-bono hands-on and consultative support to assist in the successful implementation of well-defined, outcome driven technology projects, such as database development, technology infrastructure improvements, and web development. The technology professionals provide critical support in technology project management and help organizations meet established technology benchmarks.
- Technology Help Desk Support - A professional technology assistance help desk for all staff members of arts and cultural organizations. The help desk provides 24-hour professional phone support for all common hardware and software issues.
- Technology Resources - A clearinghouse of best practices, tools, and emerging technologies that can immediately benefit many arts organizations. The program staff also provides consultations to assist in implementation of these resources.
