Grant Recipients Organizational Development Fund 2004:

 

Brandywine Workshop, $60,000

PCMI funds will support the salary of a new staff position, Director of Marketing and Communications with the goal of enhancing earned revenue opportunities and communication strategies, drawing on Brandywine’s extensive print collection, national collectors club, publications and other resources

Bucks County Historical Society, $60,000

PCMI funds will support the salary of a new staff position, Vice President of Institutional Advancement.  This position will focus on major individual gift development, prospect cultivation, and stewardship of existing donors with the goal of enhancing long-term sustainability and increasing institutional capacity in the area of fund development.

Center for Emerging Visual Artists (aka Creative Artists Network), $60,000

PCMI funds will support the salary of a new staff position, Administrative Coordinator.  This new position will coordinate development efforts, databases and external communications, and provide necessary administrative support as the organization seeks to achieve goals adopted in its recently completed strategic plan.

The Fabric Workshop and Museum, $60,000

PCMI funds will support the design and implementation of a comprehensive development plan through engaging a professional development consultant to work with the Board, founder, and staff to create a written plan for building professional fundraising program over the following three years.  The ultimate goals of the plan will be to: 1) retain and expand the current donor base; 2) establish a major gifts program; and 3) expand Board and staff roles in development.

National Museum of American Jewish History, $60,000

PCMI funds will support the hiring of the new position, Deputy Director, who will oversee programmatic operations of the NMAJH during the challenging period of the capital campaign and construction of a new facility, and to facilitate transition to the new facility.  The goal is to maintain and sustain the Deputy Director and as a permanent position once the new building is opened.

The Print Center, $31,000

PCMI funds will support the implementation of a Development Plan. The project consists of three components: 1) the development of a dedicated donor database; 2) engagement of a consultant who will assist in the design and introduction of a donor cultivation program; and 3) the printing, design and mailing of donor development support material.

The Rosenbach Museum and Library, $29,500

PCMI funds will support the engagement of a consultant in order to develop a marketing and communications plan.  The development and implementation of this plan is aimed at the critical goals of increasing support, including building an endowment; increasing membership by one-third; and doubling visitorship over five years.

Taller Puertorriqueno, $60,000

PCMI funds will support the expansion of the development coordinator position from a part-time temporary position to a full-time permanent position with benefits.  Through this expansion Taller Puertorriqueno seeks to create and implement a comprehensive development plan, strengthen its fundraising capability and enhance organizational sustainability.
